Haiku – How Are They Created? With Petra Klingl from Rothkiefer Verlag
How can a special moment be captured in only a few words? In this workshop, Petra Klingl from Rothkiefer Verlag introduces participants to the fascinating world of haiku, a traditional Japanese form of poetry that condenses observations of nature, moods and fleeting moments in a distinctive way.
Participants will learn what characterises a haiku, how images and emotions can be connected through language, and why what remains unsaid is so important. Through short exercises, they will gradually create their own haiku, which can then be discussed and developed together.
No previous experience is required. An enjoyment of language, observation and creative writing is all that is needed.
