In this approximately 30-minute workshop, participants will gain a first insight into the basics of Kenjutsu, the traditional Japanese art of sword techniques, using Hokushin Ittō-ryū Hyōhō as an example.

Under expert guidance, participants will learn basic postures, movement sequences, and simple techniques. The focus is not only on handling the sword, but also on concentration, body control, distance, respect, and the mindful execution of each movement.

The necessary training equipment will be provided. No previous experience is required – this workshop is open to anyone who would like to experience Japanese swordsmanship in a practical way.
