The Japanese tea ceremony is much more than preparing and drinking tea. It is an art form that combines calmness, mindfulness, respect, and harmony.

During this demonstration, visitors will gain an insight into the process of a traditional tea ceremony. They will see how matcha is prepared and served using selected utensils, and learn about the meaning of gestures, posture, silence, and attention.

In the following workshop, participants can try out individual elements themselves and experience how mindful action and concentration can turn a simple cup of tea into a special moment.
