How can gifts, bottles or everyday objects be wrapped stylishly without paper? In this workshop, Keiko Wakita presents the traditional Japanese art of Furoshiki.

Using square cloths and a variety of folding and knotting techniques, participants can quickly create decorative wrapping, practical carrying bags and individual gift ideas. They will not only learn different techniques, but also discover more about the history and meaning of this sustainable Japanese tradition.

No previous experience is required. An enjoyment of creating and trying things out is all that is needed.
